At Fresh Tracks Trekking & Photography, we take pride in having a team of highly skilled and experienced Sherpas who have spent their lives in the Everest region. Our Sherpas are native to the area and have an intimate knowledge of the terrain, weather patterns, and cultural significance of the places you'll be visiting. Our Sherpa guides have decades of experience leading treks in the Khumbu region, so you can rest assured that you are in good hands.
We believe that our Sherpa team is what sets us apart from other trekking companies. They have a unique ability to impart their knowledge and wisdom of the mountains, and they take immense pride in sharing their culture with our clients. Tyler Brooks
Founder, Photographer, & Lead Dreamer
Tyler grew up in the Colorado Rockies and loves sharing his passion for the mountains and his passion for photography with guests that come along for the ride! He has traveled and photographed extensively around the world and has climbed many of Colorado's highest peaks.
Nawang Sherpa
Lead Guide
Nawang is from Lukla, Nepal and has over 20 years of guiding experience in the Nepalese Himalayas. He has been to Mt. Everest Base Camp over 100 times and has climbed many 6,000 meter (20,000 foot) peaks including Lobuche, Island Peak, Mera Peak and many more.
Gelmo Sherpa
Lead Guide
Gelmo grew up in eastern Nepal and has been a guide for 7 years. She joined the Trekking Guide Association of Nepal in 2019. During that time, she has guided climbs on Lobuche, Island Peak as well as treks around the Annapurna and Everest regions.
Rinku Gurung
Kathmandu Event Coordinator
Rinku was born and raised in Kathmandu and has been in the tourism industry all her life. She is an expert in hospitality and plans all our trips out to perfection!
Lhakpa Sherpa
Khumbu Adventure Coordinator
Lhakpa has been guiding in Nepal since 2007. He has led expeditions up many 6,000-meter peaks and has taken guests all around Nepal. Today, he coordinates your itinerary to make sure you leave Nepal with a smile on your face!
